As I sit here waiting for the plane, I cannot wait to embark on this adventure. What an exciting trip to be a part of! I am most excited to see the amazing architecture and to try the cuisine. As we discussed in class, the iberco ham will be so interesting to try. I really enjoyed going to the cured farm outside of Boulder before we left, so we could have a greater understanding about the ham industry. The visit got me very excited to see the true Spanish market.
My group will be looking at the berry and cheese market in Spain. While we are there, I am interested in discovering how popular these foods are, which types are the most popular, and in what new and interesting ways they are being used (well, new to me anyway).
